Hospitals Collaborate to Drive Research and Treatments for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

ALS Treatment Center at Jersey Shore University Medical Center Expands Research Partnerships, Anticipates ALS Certification as National Center of Excellence

Jersey Shore University Medical Center is one of only two centers in New Jersey to be nationally recognized by the ALS Association; it soon will be a certified center of excellence.

The center also is a member of the Northeast ALS consortium (NEALS), which supports research and clinical trials in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and motor neuron diseases. The JSUMC ALS Treatment Center currently is collaborating on genetic testing through NEALS (at no cost to patients or clinic).
