Pediatric Pulmonologist Joins Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital

New Pulmonologist

Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health welcomes Rhia Y. Shah, M.D., to the pulmonology team at Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital

Dr. Rhia Shah is a board certified pediatrician and board eligible pediatric pulmonologist. An east coast native, Dr. Shah completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania and earned her medical degree at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine. She subsequently completed her pediatric residency and pediatric pulmonology fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.

“I am excited to have recently joined Hackensack Meridian Children's Health as a pediatric pulmonologist and assistant professor in Pediatrics at the Hackensack School of Medicine,” said Dr. Shah.

She treats patients with a variety of respiratory challenges including asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, interstitial lung disease, tracheostomy-tube or ventilator dependent children, and children with airway abnormalities.

Dr. Shah joins our team of pediatric pulmonology specialists offering the latest research, diagnosis and treatments for children, adolescents and young adults with common and rare conditions of the lungs.
