The K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital care team treats patients from infancy to young adulthood with common kidney conditions, such as infections to rare organ abnormalities. In conjunction with the pediatric kidney transplant program at Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center, patients have access to comprehensive surgical services with a team who is on track to perform a record number of kidney transplants this year.

The program’s staff of nurses received specialized training in pediatric peritoneal dialysis, within a program that involves diverse specialties to oversee care, including pediatric nephrologists, pediatric internists, pediatric cardiologists and pediatric pulmonologists.
