About Us

Jersey Shore University Medical Center is the first and only hospital in New Jersey to be verified as both an Adult and Pediatric Level I Trauma Center. Treating complex orthopedic injuries or a life-threatening situations. Featuring a multidisciplinary trauma team equipped with the expertise and resources to provide optimal outcomes.

Achieving Level I verification signifies that our center meets stringent criteria, including 24/7 availability of specialized surgeons, advanced diagnostic equipment, and dedicated trauma teams ready to respond at a moment's notice. This verification is issued by the Verification Review Committee (VRC), an ad hoc committee of the Committee on Trauma (COT) of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).
