To recognize the functional and cognitive needs of all of our participants, we have designed our program on two levels. The Medical Program is for participants who have medical needs but are alert and oriented. The Dementia Program serves individuals who possess more cognitive impairments and may have additional medical needs.
The Adult Medical Day Program provides assistance with personal hygiene, meals and with most activities of daily living. Caregiver Support is offered through various support groups, counseling, daytime respite and education. Complimentary door-to-door transportation is provided to those within our service area including Middlesex and Union counties.
Our Dedicated Staff
Individuals in both the dementia and medical programs remain under the care of their personal physician. The JFK Adult Medical Day Program staff consists of a Program Director, Registered Nurses, Licensed Social Workers, Recreational Therapists, Certified Nursing Assistants, a Registered Dietician, a Pharmacy Consultant, Program Aides, and Professional Drivers.
The JFK Adult Medical Day Program is licensed by the New Jersey State Department of Health and Senior Services and is a member of the New Jersey Adult Day Care Association and the New Jersey Hospital Association.
Many ancillary services are available for our participants such as Podiatry Care and access to a Beauty Parlor. The JFK Adult Medical Day Program is affiliated with Hackensack Meridian Health, therefore, diagnostic and therapeutic services are readily available including physical, occupational and speech therapy as prescribed by the participant’s physician. Additionally, we utilize a code alert system throughout the facility to enhance the safety of our participants.
At the JFK Adult Medical Day Program, your loved one can spend their day in a secure, stimulating and friendly environment where their medical and social needs can be met.
