These protocols include vascular neurology, neurocritical care, neurointerventional surgery, neurology nursing, emergency medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, neuroradiology, neurosurgery, anesthesiology and rehabilitation medicine.
Your stroke care begins the minute you arrive at JFK University Medical Center. Our comprehensive program is a regional leader - offering a nationally-accredited Stroke Rescue Center, the most advanced treatment options and stroke rehabilitation.
Our highly-trained medical team delivers the right therapies right away to make sure you recover as quickly as possible. We treat more than just the stroke, however. We work with patients to find the underlying cause of the stroke, including heart disease, high blood pressure, atrial fibrillation and high cholesterol, and create a care plan to help prevent further issues.
Our high-level stroke center offers 24/7 care by our rapid-response team that ensures immediate treatment and access to crucial, life-saving medications within the three-hour window that could save your life. We have full access to comprehensive diagnostic equipment, including laboratory testing and CT scans.
