Your dedicated nurse and a team of expert OB/GYNs, labor nurses, and certified midwives will work with your provider to make your birth plan a reality. Our focus on personalized techniques and positions helps keep our C-section rates low and empowers you during labor.

- 15 newly renovated private, single-room maternity suites
- Amenities designed for your comfort, including a 24/7 newborn nursery and accommodations for your support person
- Intermittent monitoring is available for low-risk moms when appropriate

Your Care Team
- On-site OB/GYNs who are all board-certified, as well as Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists who are skilled in navigating high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
- Onsite midwives focusing on high touch, low intervention with low-risk pregnancies.
- Access to on-site Lactation Support with our Lactation Consultants, as well as our nurses being lactation-certified.
- For babies who may need additional medical support, we offer a state-of-the-art Level II neonatal intensive care unit, also called the Special Care Nursery, with 24/7 on-site neonatologists.
- As part of Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health, Ocean University Medical Center is connected to K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital’s Level III NICU for babies with more complex medical needs.
For Emergency OB Care
Our dedicated Obstetrics Emergency Department (OBED) is here for any urgent pregnancy or postpartum concerns. Fully staffed 24/7 by board-certified obstetrics specialists, including OB/GYNs and registered nurses, our team is ready to quickly respond and provide immediate, specialized, and efficient emergency care for both mother and baby.
Our OBED ensures that a wide range of pregnancy-related conditions are expertly managed without delay. If you are experiencing symptoms such as abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding, decreased fetal movement, or signs of a hypertensive disorder, our specialists can provide an expert evaluation faster than in a general emergency room.

- Maternity Registration: To help make your check-in process smoother, we encourage you to complete your Maternity Registration Form before you arrive at the hospital. You can get the form from your provider or find it in the MyChart app. Please bring the completed form with you.
- Labor & Delivery Tours: We offer in-person tours of our Labor & Delivery unit to help you get familiar with the space and feel more prepared.
