The Advanced Heart Failure Center provides specialized cardiovascular care for heart failure patients by providing counseling, promoting compliance, and offering advanced treatment options such as inotropic therapy or left ventricular assist devices (LVAD) that can contribute to improved outcomes – including decreased symptoms, improved quality of life, and reduced rates of hospital re-admission.
Using a multidisciplinary approach, the experienced team of surgeons, cardiologists and coordinators at Jersey Shore University Medical Center can evaluate patients to see if they are candidates for LVAD, perform surgical implantation of the pump and treat patients’ post-implant management on site.
