Hackensack University Medical Center Recognized Among Top Hospitals in Nation for Environmental Excellence for Ninth Consecutive Year

Hackensack University Medical Center one of two hospitals nationwide to receive Practice Greenhealth’s highest honor every year since the award was created;Hackensack University Medical Center also received Greening the OR Recognition Award

June 9, 2023 — Hackensack, NJ — Hackensack Meridian Hackensack University Medical Center was recognized as one of Practice Greenhealth’s Top 25 Hospitals in Environmental Excellence. Hackensack University Medical Center is one of only two hospitals in the nation to receive this prestigious recognition for nine consecutive years – every year since the award was created. Practice Greenhealth is the nation’s leading organization dedicated to sustainability in healthcare.

The Top 25 Hospitals Environmental Excellence Award is Practice Greenhealth’s highest honor for hospitals. Hackensack University Medical Center also received the Greening the OR Recognition Award, which honors hospitals that have made progress in improving environmental performance in the operating room.
