Hackensack Meridian Carrier Clinic is proud to announce that its annual Walk of Hope will be held on October 17. This year’s walk, held rain or shine, consists of a one-mile loop around the beautiful Carrier Clinic campus, live music and family-friendly fall activities. All proceeds from the event will go directly to services at Carrier Clinic and the communities it serves, which include the expansion of Carrier’s adolescent unit, therapy programs such as pet, equine and music therapy, as well as language interpretation services — all helping to provide the resources our patients need to reclaim their lives from mental illness and addiction.
The walk is free to attend, and commemorative t-shirts are available to those who raise at least $50. Participants are also invited to host fundraisers at GiveHMH.org/HostYourOwn to support the cause and gather support from their friends, family and fellow community members.
“The Walk of Hope is an inspiring event that also serves as a catalyst to provide the support that our patients need and deserve,” said Rohit Majahan, president and chief hospital executive, Carrier Clinic. “The need continues to grow for comprehensive behavioral health services — particularly for adolescents and adults struggling with addiction and complex mental health conditions. We hope our family of donors and sponsors walk with us to support mental health care in our community!”
“Philanthropy contributes to so many of our mental health initiatives. Our Walk for Hope serves as a great opportunity for our family of donors — and our valued corporate partners — to show their support for people who may be struggling,” said Joyce P. Hendricks, president and chief development officer, Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation. “Solving the growing mental health crisis is a team effort, and we hope the community will join us as we work to provide the best services possible for people in need.”
All funds raised from the Walk of Hope will directly benefit Carrier Clinic, a leading not-for-profit New Jersey provider of specialized behavioral health and addiction treatment services, while supporting Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation’s Be The Difference campaign. Launched in September 2024, Be The Difference is a transformational effort focusing on four key pillars: enhancing the delivery of patient care, accelerating groundbreaking research and discovery, expanding access to care for all and revolutionizing medical education while supporting the nursing profession. Through this ambitious initiative, Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation aims to reshape health care for patients, clinicians and the communities it serves, paving the way for a brighter, healthier future.
