Home Visitation Program
Research shows that reducing asthma triggers in the home may decrease a child’s need for medications and increase symptom-free days. A Community Health Worker, with special asthma education training, will meet at your home to perform an assessment and discuss any possible asthma triggers, such as chemicals, cigarette smoke or pets.
The COACH team then partners with you, your child, and the pediatrician and pulmonologist to develop the best plan for managing your child’s asthma. Our goal is to decrease your child’s exposure to asthma triggers and provide an improved quality of life for the whole family.
*Please note this program is currently only available in Monmouth and Ocean counties.
