SIDS Support
The Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Center of New Jersey (SCNJ) is a statewide program with three missions.
- Bereavement support for New Jersey’s families whose infants have died suddenly and unexpectedly
- Research into efforts to identify underlying causes

The SCNJ is offered at both the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center, and Rutgers, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, in New Brunswick, NJ.
Providing continued support
The SIDS Center Licensed Clinical Social Worker offers culturally and linguistically competent grief therapy, advocacy, psychoeducation, and community resources to referred families within 24 hours of clearance from the Medical Examiner's Office.

- Annual statewide memorial services held in May, July and November
- Support, advocacy and help in understanding the autopsy
