Your Family’s Health is our Mission

Jane H. Booker Family Health Center, part of Jersey Shore University Medical Center, provides a wide range of outpatient healthcare services to care for every member of your family. We understand that life is busy, which is why we provide many health services all under one roof and appointments are not needed for labwork, HIV, and STD services. 

Our doctors work at Jersey Shore University Medical Center and care for you at our center. Having specialists who work at both the Jane H. Booker Family Health Center and Jersey Shore, strengthens the communication with your doctors, making sure your care team understands all of your healthcare needs at every step. Social workers and Case Managers are also available for assistance and can help you access community resources and connect you with an interpreter in more than 25 languages including, Spanish, French Creole, Tagalog, and more. 

We are proud to be nationally recognized as a Primary Care Medical Home (PCMH) by The Joint Commission, which shows that we are committed to providing you with high-quality, patient-centered care. For patients, this means we will work with you and your care team to create specialized plans to manage your health, from primary care to diabetes management to heart care, all under one roof.

We provide primary care services, both well and sick visits, for the entire family, as well as chronic disease management (including diabetes and hypertension), pre-surgical care, vaccines and immunizations, health education and management, cancer screenings and more. When needed, rapid flu and strep tests are offered for added convenience.
Our full-service dental clinic offers general dentistry along with other specialties.

The Infectious Disease Clinic provides private STD and HIV testing, treatment, and management and offers counselors, Behavioral Health professionals, a support team to provide resources and emotional support when needed. 

Gynecology

We provide compassionate care for women of all ages and provide services including pap smears, birth control, urogynecology care, which treats bladder and rectum conditions, menopausal education and more.

Prenatal and Postpartum Obstetrics & Maternity

We help new and expecting mothers get the quality care, support and education they need from their first appointment until after birth, including high-risk patients.

Fulfill Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties 

The Fulfill mobile pantry is at the Jane H. Booker Family Health Center every third Wednesday of the month from 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Individuals can visit the pantry to receive non-perishable food, as well as fresh produce and baked goods.

Our cardiology specialists diagnose and treat common heart conditions such as high blood pressure and heart disease.
We specialize in the treatment of all endocrine disorders, including thyroid disorders, diabetes, and hormone care.
We offer digestive care for a full range of conditions that affect the digestive tract, liver, biliary tract, and pancreas, such as acid reflux, cancers, irritable bowel syndrome, gas and diarrhea and more.

We provide:

  • Free*, discreet and confidential HIV and STD/STI testing and treatment for infections, including Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Syphilis. (*The first test is typically free for Monmouth County residents only; however, please contact us to confirm costs and eligibility).
  • Medications are on-site and many STD/STI patients can receive their medications on the same day of their testing. so you don’t have to visit a pharmacy
  • PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) for patients at risk of contracting HIV, which significantly reduces the risk.
Our Center offers comprehensive care for complicated cases of hypertension, managing diet, exercise, and medication management.
Our experienced nephrologists diagnose and treat common kidney disorders in adults and children, such as chronic kidney disease.
Our registered dietitians help families live a healthier lifestyle with nutrition plans and support that are specific to the needs of each person.
Our specialists can help improve mental and emotional well-being and specialize in common behavioral conditions such as depression, anxiety, and more.
Our pulmonologists provide expert care for managing lung and breathing conditions such as asthma, emphysema, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), and other pulmonary conditions.
Rheumatology focuses on diagnosing and treating diseases that can affect the joints, muscles, bones, and connective tissues. Our rheumatologists provide comprehensive care to help manage conditions such as rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis and lupus. They determine what is really going on within the body and create treatment plans which may include medications, physical therapy, surgery, or lifestyle changes.
Our team specializes in caring for and referring patients to a wide variety of surgical procedures, including colorectal surgery, colonoscopies, robotic surgery, bariatric surgery, breast surgery, and surgery for skin cancer. Jersey Shore University Medical Center is a Level I Adult, and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, which means we handle serious injuries requiring immediate surgery or care. Adult patients who receive surgical care at the academic medical center may schedule their surgical follow-up appointments with specialists at the Family Health Center to make sure you are healing well and getting the best possible care.
We offer specialized care for conditions affecting the bladder and urinary tract, ranging from kidney stones to urinary tract infections to cancer.
