Resident's Life
Resident’s Wellness
More Than a Program: A Community That Cares
Resident’s well-being is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that happy, supported, and fulfilled residents provide the best patient care, which is why we have cultivated a culture that prioritizes work-life balance and a true sense of belonging. Having time for family and friends, to pursue hobbies and interests, and to have time to reflect on this journey are core principles which we believe in.
Our 66 residents form a close-knit, diverse, and multicultural family. This rich environment not only fosters cultural competence in the care you provide but also creates a supportive and collegial atmosphere essential for your success and personal growth.
We are more than just collagues; we celebrate milestones together, support each other through challenges, and truly feel like a family.
Life at Our Program Includes:
Wellness half day - As part of the curriculum, every resident receives one half day of wellness during their ambulatory weeks, in order to help residents fulfill their personal obligations and have time for personal wellbeing, health and appointments.
We believe in celebrating often and creating lasting memories. Throughout the year, our residents enjoy:
Major Celebrations - Celebrating resident’s success at the Graduation Gala and fun -filled Intern Retreat
Food & Festivities - Resident’s Week celebrations, delicious Food Truck events, an International Lunch Day showcasing our diversity, and casual outdoor dining
Year-Round Fun - Holiday parties, Secret Santa gift exchanges and group outings to Topgolf, Monmouth Park Racetrack, or pumpkin picking in the fall and stress-relieving Pet Therapy sessions.
Family Feel - We celebrate personal milestones like birthdays and baby showers and even get together for casual dinners at our attendings' houses.
