Aman Khalid Siddiqui MDAman Khalid Siddiqui, M.D. - PGY 3

Dr. Siddiqui, a graduate of Dow International Medical College, embarked on a transformative journey into Family Medicine driven by a lifelong affinity for medicine and a dedication to service. Born in Dubai and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma, he smoothly transitioned to American life and pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Oklahoma. Opting for a unique path, he ventured abroad for medical school, where his roots lie, to immerse himself, learn, and contribute to the community. Attending a prestigious medical institution solidified his passion for medicine, which evolved during clinical rotations into a true calling for Family Medicine. Matched with his top-choice program, he's honored by the opportunity to further his training. He's drawn to the program's diverse clinical exposure, strong emphasis on teaching and mentorship. Driven to serve patients of all ages, he aims to nurture enduring relationships, tending to wellness needs and optimizing health across time.

In his free time, he cherishes moments with family and friends, embraces travel, exercises, explores the outdoors, engages in sports and chess, savors diverse cuisines, indulges in novels, and stays updated on evidence-based
medicine practices. Dr. Siddiqui exemplifies a holistic and dedicated approach to patient care.

Jonathan Torres-Gonzalez MDJonathan Torres Gonzalez, M.D. - PGY3

Jonathan attended the University of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Jonathan attended the University of Medicine and Health Sciences at the island of St. Kitts. He was born and grew up in the island of Puerto Rico, to a family of Cuban immigrants. His parents originally immigrated through Union City prior to establishing themselves in Puerto Rico and so life has it, Jonathan found himself back in his parents roots. He made North Bergen his backyard as he crossed the river into New York to complete his clinical medical rotations all while keeping Palisades Medical Center in his rear view mirror as he made his way down River road. He is grateful to have matched in his first choice program and to continue to call North Bergen his adopted home. He is passionate about serving his Latino community and providing personalized medical care. Dr. Torres is passionate about preventive medicine and hopes to continue to grow these roots in the North Bergen Community and provide full scope practice in Family Medicine. In his free time Jonathan enjoys spending time at family barbecues, when it’s not below freezing temperatures, and whipping a batch of his grandma's ropa vieja.

Christel Velasco MDChristel Velasco-Guidry, M.D. - PGY3

Christel graduated from De La Salle Health Sciences Institute College of Medicine.

Interest & Hobbies: Training my dog and taking him swimming, cooking, hiking, and touring NYC.

What do I like about the program: The exposure to many different specialities and sites to truly enhance my medical training. A majority of the attendings are enthusiastic about teaching and are very approachable.

Sharif Younis MDSharif Younis, M.D. - PGY3

Sharif graduated from American University of Antigua College of Medicine.

Sharif Younis received his MD degree from American University of Antigua College of Medicine. Sharif is a hard worker who is dedicated to helping all people in need. He feels very fortunate to be a part of a network like Hackensack Meridian Health, and to be part of the Palisades Medical Center Family Medicine Program. Sharif takes pride in knowing that as a Family Medicine physician he can treat patients of all ages. He believes that being a Family Medicine physician is a pivotal key in a patient's medical needs, and therefore, is constantly increasing his knowledge base. When not working, Sharif enjoys going to the gym, practicing martial arts, watching sports and movies, spending time with family, jumping in a pool, and relaxing.

Deborah Daoud MDDeborah Daoud, M.D. - PGY2

Debbie Daoud grew up Paramus New Jersey, went to college ant Rutgers University and attended medical school at Penn state college of medicine. Her favorite aspect of medical school was volunteering for the underserved and partaking in community service to help those in need. She fell in love with family medicine after seeing the bond patients develops with their family doctors. She aspires to always have that close relationship with her patients and be someone they can trust and confide in. She is passionate about spending time with her friends and family, taking her dog for walks, and exercising, and traveling.

Sandeep Jaswal MDJaswal Sandeep, M.D. - PGY2

Hailing from Toronto, Canada, and a distinguished graduate of the University of Lublin, Dr. Jaswal embodies both compassion and vitality. As a dedicated family medicine resident, he seamlessly integrates clinical expertise with heartfelt care, leaving an indelible mark on his community's well-being.

Beyond the realm of medicine, Dr. Jaswal's vibrant spirit finds expression on the sports field. With a mean swing in baseball and a skillful serve in volleyball, he proves that precision and power extend beyond the realm of healing. Off the court, his competitive zest and sportsmanship continue to shine.

In diagnosing ailments or executing a perfect serve, Dr. Jaswal's unwavering commitment shines through, reflecting a harmonious approach to both health and playfulness.

Oluwasegun Shoewu MDOluwasegun "Olu" Shoewu, M.D. - PGY2

Dr. Shoewu attended Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences, Olabisi Onabanjo University in Nigeria.

He enjoys ping-pong, soccer, watching TV, research and doing community service.

Ahmed Zohdy MDAhmed Zohdy, M.D. - PGY2

Ahmed Zohdy earned an MBBS degree, completed an OBGYN residency, and obtained a Master's from Cairo University in Egypt.

He is grateful to have the opportunity to further his journey by joining the Hackensack Meridian Palisades family medicine residency program to provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all genders and all ages. He believes that the profession of a family doctor is a great gift God bestows. He has a favorite quote that states, “A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.” In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his loved ones, taking a refreshing dip in the pool, and fixing up cars.

Amran Al Amrany MD

Amran Al-Amrany, M.D. - PGY 1

Dr. Amran Al-Amrany attended St George School of Medicine. He is a native to Clifton, NJ-born and raised. While Dr. Al-Amrany left the cold winters of the northeast to study medicine in the warm weathers of the Caribbean, he will take a heavy coat any day to be back with family. We are very excited to have a Jersey native in our Palisades Family. He enjoys spending time outdoors with and exploring cultures. Dr. Al-Amrany would like to pursue a career in primary care integrated with sports medicine.

Ali Chaurdry Shehab MD

Shehab Chaudry, M.D. - PGY 1

Dr. Shehab Chaudhry attended CMH Lahore Medical College in Pakistan. While he grew up as a native to New Jersey, his family roots are in Pakistan, where he called it home before returning to his backyard in NJ to complete his family medicine residency. We are happy to have Dr. Chaudhry back in the Garden State. When not in the clinic, Dr. Chaudry enjoys adventure sports, travel, and food. He is a girl dad and enjoys spending time with family. He aspires to be “Iron Man”, don’t we all? But realistically he aspires to be the best primary care clinician possible.

Ingrid Corredor MD

Ingrid Corredor Sarabia, M.D. - PGY 1

Dr. Ingrid Corredor Sarabia attended the Universidad Central de Venezuela. She has called the borough of Brooklyn, NY her adopted home. During her free time, she hopes to find the best Arepa (traditional Venezuelan corn flatbread), but I think nothing can top her own home recipe. She enjoys working on her art, hanging with her cat (her sub socks says it all) and hiking. We are so happy she has decided to cross the Hudson River to our Palisades Family and provide much needed care to our latino population. After graduation, she aspires to work as a primary care physician in underserved communities.

Hannah Girgis MD

Hannah M. Girgis, M.D. - PGY 1

Dr. Hannah Girgis attended the Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). She was born in York, PA but grew up in South NJ. While she traded the big city views for a while to complete her medical school with views of Ohio’s big lakes, she is excited to be back to the views from Palisades Medical Hospital of the concrete jungle. Dr. Girgis thoroughly enjoys music. She plays the piano, guitar and sings. She aspires to join the primary care world upon graduation and provide great preventive care.
