Recipe: Tahini Coffee Smoothie

There is sufficient evidence to suggest coffee (caffeinated or decaffeinated) may decrease risk of liver, endometrial, colorectal and some head and neck cancers. However, observational studies suggest coffee consumption may increase the risk of lung cancer, particularly in female, current smokers who consume more than three cups per day. Try this superfood smoothie packed with nutrient-rich ingredients.
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup cold brew coffee
- 2 Tbsp of tahini
- 1/2 cup ice
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened non-dairy milk (such as almond milk)
- 3 medjool dates
Instructions:
- Place all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth.
- Pour into cups, and top with a dash of cinnamon or a dollop of whipped cream.
