Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center Celebrates National Time Out Day

On June 13, Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center’s Operating Room physicians and team members celebrated National Time Out Day to promote the importance of taking “time outs” for patient safety. National Time Out Day is an annual awareness campaign through the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and supported by The Joint Commission to increase awareness of safe practices that lead to optimal outcomes for patients undergoing surgery and other invasive procedures.
AORN chose the theme for 2018 – “Be a Super Hero for Patient Safety” – and Hackensack Meridian Health Palisades Medical Center’s team members performed fun demonstrations and activities in the hospital’s City Lights Café.
