Route 18 Auto Donates $6,300 Toward Suicide Prevention Effort

The funds were raised during September’s National Suicide Prevention Month when Route 18 Auto’s management donated $50 to Carrier Clinic for every vehicle sold during that period. Knowing the signs of suicide risk is important: drastic mood swings; marked changes in personality and behavior; increased isolation and withdrawal from society; increased dependence on alcohol, drugs, or self-destructive habits; changes in routine such as eating or sleeping habits; evidence of preparation for taking one’s life; preoccupation with death or violence; talk of committing suicide; wishing for death or having never been born.

“Do not take these behaviors for granted,” Loch said. “Call our Carrier Clinic Access Center 24 hours a day at 1-800-933-3579 if you see an individual exhibiting these telltale signs. You could save a life.”
