Flying High with the Hackensack Meridian Health Helicopter Flight Nurses and Paramedics

Meet the team of AirMed One, Hackensack Meridian Health’s helicopter.  Anchor Craig Treadway headed to West Milford to meet the courageous team of flight paramedics, flight nurses, pilots and mechanics behind AirMed One. The emergency helicopter supports the Hackensack Meridian Health network, flying patients between hospitals and responding to 911 emergencies. According to Joseph Solda, RN, chief flight nurse, AirMed One is at the ready 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The team has responded to more than  1,700 calls since the program started just seven years ago in April 2012 at Hackensack University Medical Center. (Note: the crew was also live a second time during the 8 a.m. show.)
