Jersey Boys To The Rescue for Boston Firefighter

A firefighter from Boston found himself surrounded by love from complete strangers in New Jersey. Boston Fire Lt. Glenn Preston, 43, is fighting occupational cancer – lymphoma that he contracted from years of exposure to smoke. In recent years, he developed a large tumor in his chest that caused damage to his diaphragm. He would need nerve reconstruction surgery and the only doctor who could perform the procedure was at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Far from home, Preston thought he would be alone in a hospital bed, until a group of local firefighters stepped up to show some love.
