Hackensack Meridian Health Donates $100,000 of Critical Supplies to the People of Ukraine

Hackensack Meridian Health is partnering with Afya Foundation, American Hospital Association and Greater New York Hospital Association to provide much needed medical and personal supplies to the people of Ukraine

Hackensack Meridian Health, New Jersey’s largest and most comprehensive health network, announced today that it is donating $100,000 of much needed medical and personal care supplies to the people of Ukraine. This donation is in partnership with the Afya Foundation, which collects unused medical supplies and equipment throughout the New York metropolitan area, as well as the American Hospital Association and the Greater New York Hospital Association.

“I am proud to announce that Hackensack Meridian Health will be able to provide critical supplies to Ukrainians after the senseless invasion of their country,” said Robert C. Garrett, FACHE, chief executive officer of Hackensack Meridian Health. “The overwhelming response and outpouring of concern from our team members looking for ways to help in this time of need has been remarkable. We are grateful that through this partnership we are able to directly support the people of Ukraine.”

The Afya Foundation, a nonprofit organization which diverts, sorts, and delivers donated medical supplies to underserved or compromised health systems globally, has partnered with the US-Ukraine Foundation to deliver donated supplies to those in need in Ukraine.
