Hackensack Meridian Health hospitals have been Magnet-designated for more than two decades. Hackensack University Medical Center has been designated six times and was the first organization to achieve this recognition in the state of New Jersey. Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Riverview Medical Center, and Ocean Medical Center received the designation six times. Raritan Bay Medical Center/Old Bridge Medical Center has received the designation four times. Bayshore Medical Center and Southern Ocean Medical Center received the designation two times.

Three Hackensack Meridian Health hospitals received a Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award, Practice Greenhealth’s highest honor, including: Hackensack University Medical Center, Jersey Shore University Medical Center and Ocean University Medical Center. Hackensack University Medical Center has received this award nine times – every year since it was created. 2023 was Jersey Shore University Medical Center’s third time receiving the award and Ocean University Medical Center’s second time.
