Application Process

The Orthopedic Surgery residency program at Hackensack University Medical Center participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Applicants are urged to submit their completed applications in September when ERAS opens. Our application deadline is October 1. To apply, please ensure that your completed application includes the following:

• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE or Dean’s Letter)
• Medical School Transcript
• Personal Statement
• USMLE Step 1 or COMLEX 1 Score
• USMLE Step 2 or COMLEX 2 Score
• At least three (3), ideally four (4) letters of recommendation
• Photo
• ECFMG Status Report, if applicable

If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted by email and/or Thalamus. Interviews are conducted in January.
