Application Process

The Psychiatry Residency Program at Ocean University Medical Center participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), and all information is processed through this system without exception. Information regarding the ERAS application process and timeline is available on the website listed below.

ERAS applications must contain the following information in order for your application to be considered:

  • Application
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Medical school transcript
  • Three original letters of recommendation (two must be in Psychiatry)
  • ECFMG certification
  • USLME reports (1, 2) or Comlex (1, 2)
  • Personal statement describing your training goals and future career plans

The program director and additional faculty members will do a holistic review of applicant files. Invitation for interview will be based upon their recommendations.

Review of applications will begin in September. Interviews are held October through approximately January.
