Time Off Information for New Team Members

Paid Time Off (PTO)

Can be used for time off related to personal matters, including vacation, personal days, to celebrate religious days of observation and for the first three days of an illness. Accrual rates are based upon years of service and job function.

Holidays

HMH observes six standard holidays (separate from PTO)

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

Benefit-eligible, non-exempt team members scheduled to work during observed holidays are paid time-and-one-half for the holiday worked

Additional Time Off

HMH offers Earned Sick Leave (ESL) of up to 40 hours per year, short-term disability coverage of up two-thirds of a team member’s paycheck and various leave of absence programs
