Our Mission
Our mission is to facilitate the development of outstanding Obstetricians and Gynecologists driven by humanism who find purpose in service, education, and life-long learning. As advocates and leaders in the field, our diverse physician cohort will provide compassionate and culturally sensitive primary and specialty care to all persons in our community. We strive to provide evidence-based care fueled by our passion for innovation and research.
Curriculum
Program leadership aims to provide its residents the highest quality Ob/Gyn training while maintaining awareness of their need to grow as individuals and their commitments as family members. All rotations will be completed at the Donna M. Sanzari Women’s Hospital on the campus of Hackensack University Medical Center and its nearby ambulatory facilities. You will learn under the guidance of more than 80 full-time, experienced and enthusiastic faculty in general obstetrics & gynecology and all subspecialties who genuinely enjoy their interactions with residents and students. We are fortunate to be supported by top-notch professionals in nursing, pharmacy, social work, nutrition, and radiology amongst others.

Rotation Experiences
This program is designed to provide its residents a strong foundation in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as broad, in-depth exposure to Obstetrics & Gynecology subspecialties, making our graduates equally well prepared for careers in general obstetrics and gynecology practice or in academics. During residency, you will rotate through a range of Obstetrics and Gynecology specialty programs, and gain experience in the following subspecialties:
- Gynecologic Oncology
- Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility
- Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Female Pelvic Floor Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery
- Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery
- Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology

- Prenatal Diagnosis and Ultrasound

In addition, our program is dedicated to creating a culture of wellness for both the patients we serve and our residents throughout their years here. Patient safety, quality, and innovation are at the heart of all that we do. Here, residents gain training for various high-risk scenarios in our state-of-the-art simulation center, allowing for real-time exposure to high acuity incidents in a controlled environment.
Rotation Schedule
The rotation schedule consists of core rotations in Obstetrics & Gynecology and subspecialty rotations as well as additional rotations outside of the Department in order to provide our residents with educational opportunities to make them well-rounded physicians who are capable to serve as primary care physicians for women of all ages.
