Allergy Immunology Fellowship
SUNY Downstate Medical Center
College: New York University
Medical School: Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine
Pediatric Interests: Primary Care, Infectious Disease
Hobbies: Traveling, hiking, biking
Bio: I grew up in a small town in northern New Jersey– the stereotypical suburb with little diversity. I expanded my horizons in college while attending New York University. Spending my four undergraduate years in Manhattan, I learned so much by interacting with peers from different cultural, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This is one of the reasons I was drawn to Hackensack for residency – the diversity of the area makes me confident that I will learn a great deal from my patients. Pediatrics was a clear decision for me during my medical school rotations because of how uniquely rewarding it is to treat children. I’m excited to be part of the HUMC community and I hope to leave a positive impact on my little patients!

Next Step: Hospital Medicine, California
College: Brooklyn College, City University of New York
Medical School: Ross University School of Medicine
Pediatric Interests: Hospital Medicine, Neonatology, Hematology/Oncology
Hobbies: Baking, drawing, sculpting with clay, watching scary movies (the “Halloween” franchise will always be one of the greatest!) and listening to electronic music. Another hobby that gives me a sense of tranquility is my book filled with Philosophical and Mathematical quotes. It helps me to reflect.
Bio: I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, specifically Coney Island, but I often visit family in the other four boroughs. I have always loved jogging along the boardwalk or just sitting on the warm sand. I obtained my degree in Mathematics at Brooklyn College and did a couple of years of research and volunteering before pursuing my Doctor of Medicine degree. I am excited to join HUMC and start my new career in pediatrics!

Bio: Hi, I’m Jessica! I grew up in the tristate area and therefore I am thrilled to be working at the best children’s hospital in the region. I went to Binghamton University and studied Integrative Neuroscience and from there I then attended TouroCOM for my medical degree. Before beginning my residency in pediatrics, I completed a Transitional Year of residency at Hackensack Meridian Health – Palisades Medical Center, where I was privileged to explore my passion for primary care as it relates to caring for children at all different stages of life. From day one, the commitment to teamwork was evident and everyone within the department was always very friendly and supportive. I am so excited to see what the next three years have to offer while caring for the tiny humans and their families!

Medical School: St. George’s University
Pediatric Interests: General Pediatrics, Hospitalist Medicine, children with special needs

Bio: Born in Pennsylvania and raised in New Jersey, I always knew I wanted to be close to home and to give back to the community that helped shape who I am today. I went to undergrad and obtained my masters in NJ, and I eventually ventured to Grenada for medical school. During my rotations back home, I was blessed with the opportunity to work with and learn from the amazing faculty at Hackensack University Medical Center, and I am so excited to train here for my pediatric residency. I fell in love with pediatrics because of the liveliness and resilience of children no matter the obstacle and because pediatricians are granted the opportunity to watch these children grow and develop throughout their early lives. Pediatricians are not only health care providers but also educators to family and patients, and I am so grateful to dedicate my life to this field.

I have done work and research in the community since my high school days because I love to give back any small amount I can. Anything from starting community clothing drives to co-creating a non-profit organization in order to give back.
